In its relations with foreign customers ATOMSTROYEXPORT not only relies on Russia's great scientific, technological and industrial potential, but also closely cooperates with design and civil companies in customers' countries, employing manufacturers and civil companies of these countries for supplies of equipment and materials and for site work performance. Implementation of NPP construction programs in foreign countries is performed by Atomstroyexport on the basis of the designs developed by the leading scientific and design companies of Russia: Atomenergoproject, OKB Gidropress, RNC “Kurchatov Institute” and others. The NPPs in construction are fitted with the equipment manufactured at such known manufacturing plants as Machine-Building Plant “ZIO-Podolsk”, “Idzora Works”, Plant “Electrosila” and others. Design and construction of NPP abroad are usually carried out by our company in cooperation with foreign customers i.e. our customers are given an opportunity to develop designs of individual buildings and structures on their own, as well as to perform a number of activities and participate in supplies of equipment even for the contracted projects. In a number of cases the engineering documentation and production technology for some equipment are handed over to the customers, so that they could start their own production with assistance of our specialists sent to a customer's country. Moreover, such equipment has been later imported by our company as well as by other countries for the home NPPs.
