By the statement of the president of Atomstroyexport, Mr. V.V. Kozlov, Atomstroyexport offered to the Customer possibility of selecting several alternatives on the basis of VVER-1000 serial reactor: the "turnkey" supply, the nuclear island complete supply and the turbine island alternative.
According to the Customer’s representatives, the bid on construction of the NPP fifth power unit in Finland is commercial and independent, and thus safety criteria and economic efficiency of each bid offer should prevail in evaluation of the participants’ offers and decision-making. And this particular approach, Mr. Kozlov affirmed, served as one of the basic criterion for confirmation of Atomstroyexport’s participation in the bid after receiving TVO invitation in 2002.
"Possessing extensive experience of the activities at the Finnish market in connection with the construction of Loviisa NPP and taking into account VVER design safety, favorable cost and efficiency, company Atomstroyexport continues participating in the construction bid for the NPP fifth power unit in Finland", was confirmed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Atomstroyexport, Mr. A.I.
