General management of quality assurance issues is allocated to the President. The division for quality and normalization directly reports to the President. This division regulates issues related to functioning of the quality system in ASE as a whole and coordinates fulfillment of QA obligations with regard to particular cooperation projects. To ensure fulfillment of the contractual obligations at various stages of construction of cooperation projects, i.e. design, supply of equipment, construction, erection, commissioning, consultation and engineering services, the quality assurance programs are developed for specific projects in consideration of the requirements of countries-customers national standards and IAEA recommendations for nuclear power projects. The above programs include the following QA actions: to define organizational structure and allocate responsibilities and authorities between the structural units of ASE for the purpose of implementation of each particular project; to plan QA activities; to evaluate prospective ASE suppliers/contractors; to carry out QA audits, quality surveillance and acceptance inspections for products while fulfilling the contractual obligations. Besides the mentioned activities and depending upon the requirements set up by customers, other organizational and engineering measures are performed for the benefit of the QA issues.
