Strategic Partnership between JSC Atomstroyexport and JSC Inter RAO UES

On May 17, 2007 a Memorandum of cooperation in the power field was signed between JSC Atomstroyexport and JSC Inter RAO UES. The Memorandum was signed by Sergey Shmatko, ASE President and Evgeny Dod, Inter RAO UES General Director.

The Document will allow the companies to brisk up the activity on consolidation of their strategic positions in target markets considering the potential of each of the parties.

The strategic partnership of the two companies in the power field is aimed at efficient implementation of projects on construction of power objects. And at the same time JSC Atomstroyexport will be a leader of consortiums for the construction of generating facilities as a General Contractor on a turnkey basis. Inter RAO UES will sell the power generated by the facilities.

The expected directions of mutual cooperation cover the activities on development and implementation of various investment projects, organization of financial provision for the projects on the construction of generating facilities through long-term agreements on selling the power and also the information exchange in order to increase the efficiency of the projects implementation.

Atomstroyexport consistently implements the strategy directed at formation of alliances assisting the promotion of innovative decisions in the construction of NPP and consolidation of the company’s positions in Russian and International markets.
