Press-service of CJSC “Atomstroyexport” is the winner of “Silver Archer” Prize.
In 2008 the press-service of CJSC “Atomstroyexport” was awarded the National Prize Diploma in the sphere of public relations development “Silver Archer” in category “The Best Project” for the project “PR-supporting the construction of Tianwan NPP”.
The National Prize in the sphere of public relations development “Silver Archer” was founded on June 25, 1997 by the Russian Association of Public Relations, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Russian Journalists’ Union. The prize “Silver Archer” is recognized as the most prestigious prize in the sphere of public relations development in Russia.

Tianwan NPP constructed by Atomstroyexport JSC in China has overfulfilled the annual operation plan
On December 12, 2009 Tianwan NPP (China) fulfilled the annual electric power generation plan. In total from the beginning of the year the units 1 and 2 of the nuclear power plant constructed by Atomstroyexport JSC has generated 13.2 billion kWh of electric power.
Having handed over the first unit of Tianwan NPP to the Chinese customer on June 2, 2007, the second unit – on September 12, 2007, Atomstroyexport was the first among the companies operating at the international market of the NPP construction, who constructed power units of new generation. On September 12, 2009 the two-year guarantee operation of units 1 and 2 terminated. Respective protocols were signed between the customer – JNPC (Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation) and Atomstroyexport JSC.
The plant stable operation proved its reliability and safety. At present both units of Tianwan NPP are operating at the rated contract capacity level 1060 MW, at that it is expected that as per results of the year the main parameter of the NPP successful operation – ÊÈÓÌ (the installed capacity use factor) – will reach for units 1 and 2 the level of 78% and 85% respectively. From the moment of commissioning Tianwan NPP has generated approximately 40 billion kWh of electric power.
Reference. The General Contract for construction of Tianwan NPP was concluded between Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation (JNPC) and Atomstroyexport JSC in 1997. Atomstroyexport JSC discharged the functions of the general contractor and supplier of the equipment and materials for the NPP. The General Layout of Tainwan NPP stipulates the possibility to extend the plant up to eight power units 1000 MW capacity each. On October 13, 2009 the State Corporation “Rosatom” and China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) signed a protocol, in which they confirmed the desire and intention to continue cooperation in construction of the second phase of Tianwan NPP – the 3-rd and the 4-th units of the plant. With this purpose the parties agreed to establish a joint working group, which is to agree upon the cost of the Tianwan NPP extension project. It is planned that the project will also be implemented by Atomstroyexport JSC efforts. |
