Atomstroyexport has presented its technologies to Vietnamese partners
JSC “Atomstroyexport”, an enterprise of State Corporation “Rosatom”, has taken part in the IV-th International Exhibition “Nuclear Power-2010” devoted to the perspective views on development of the atomic energy industry of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The exhibition was held in Hanoi. The Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Science and Technologies of Vietnam, Vietnamese Institute of Atomic Energy and Electric-power Corporation “EVN” became the organizers of this event. The exhibition was opened by Minister of Science and Technologies of Vietnam, Mr. Hoang Van Phong.
“Atomstroyexport” and JNPC have signed the Protocols on Final Acceptance of the first stage of Tianwan NPP
JSC «Atomstroyexport» (JSC ASE), enterprise of State Corporation «Rosatom», and Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation (JNPC) have signed the Protocols on Final Acceptance of the 1-rst and 2-nd power units of Tianwan NPP (the People’s Republic of China). This is an extremely significant event that acknowledges the recognition from the side of the Chinese Customer of the high level of the project implementation by the Russian general contractor. On the part of the Customer the Protocols have been signed by JNPC General Director, Mr. Jiang Ghoyuan, and from the side of the General Contractor – by First Vice-President of JSC «Atomstroyexport», Mr. Alexander Nechaev.
Atomstroyexport has taken part in exhibition and conference “POWER-GEN India & Central Asia-2010”
JSC Atomstroyexport (JSC ASE) controlled by State Corporation “Rosatom” took part in International exhibition and conference “POWER-GEN India & Central Asia-2010”. The event took place in Mumbai (Republic of India) and was organized with the support of Ministry of Energy and Ministry of new and renewable energy sources of India.
Trial loading of the first dummy fuel assembly has been carried out at NPP Kudankulam
On April 23, 2010 a trial loading of the first dummy fuel assembly was carried out into the reactor of Unit 1 of NPP Kudankulam being constructed by JSC Atomstroyexport in India. This is another key event in project implementation of the atomic plant in India, which marks the completion of the whole stage of process operations on NPP Kudankulam reactor facilities flushing and the transfer to assembly operations of the reactor with its further preparation for the stage of pressure tests and the first unit systems circulation flushing.
Atomstroyexport and JNPC signed the Frame Contract of Tianwan NPP extension project
On 23rd of March, Atomstroyexport JSC (ASE JSC) and Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation (JNPC) signed the Frame contract of Tianwan NPP (People’s Republic of China) extension project. Consortium MIR-1200 is participating in the 10th Energy Congress in Prague
International Consortium MIR-1200 comprising of ŠKODA JS a.s., JSC “Atomstroyexport” (JSC ASE) and JSC OKB “GIDROPRESS” is participating in the traditional Energy Congress in Prague. The Energy Congress is one of the most important events in the energy field of the Czech Republic having an international importance. This year the Congress is dedicated to the “Safety and Reliability of the Power Sector” and is held under the patronage of Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Jan Fischer.
International project for Temelin

Atomstroyexport has signed the first contract with the Bulgarian manufacturer on large-sized equipment supply to Belene NPP
JSC Atomstroyexport signed a contract with the Bulgarian company BESTTECHNICA TM Radomir AD (ÀÎ «ÁÅÑÒÒÅÕÍÈÊÀ Òÿæåëîå ìàøèíîñòðîåíèå Ðàäîìèð» ÀÄ). This is the first contract concluded with the Bulgarian supplier within Belene NPP construction. BESTTECHNICA TM Radomir AD shall have to produce and supply two transport locks for the reactor compartment of two new units of a new Bulgarian nuclear plant.

At NPP “Bushehr” (Islamic Republic of Iran) being constructed by JSC “Atomstroyexport” the strength and leakage test of the system of hermetically sealed railings has been successfully completed.
Atomstroyexport and GNS Signed the Cooperation Agreement
Atomstroyexport JSC (ASE JSC) and German GNS signed the Cooperation Agreement on spent nuclear fuel (SNF) handling. Atomstroyexport and GNS “agreed to join their efforts, various skills and knowledge for use of the dual-purpose casks, including those for fuel from the Russia-design reactors, as well as for designing, provision of services and equipment for NPP decommissioning”, as stated in the Agreement text.
Technical Council of NEK, Bulgaria, Approved Belene NPP Project
The technical council of the National Electric Company (NEK) of Bulgaria approved Belene NPP Technical Design. Atomstroyexport JSC is implementing the Project. Having reviewed the positive conclusions of independent Bulgarian and international expert organizations, the technical council of NEK approved Belene NPP Technical Design, including the Intermediate Safety Analysis Report (ISAR) and Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA). Belene NPP Technical Design was elaborated by the general designer, ÎÀÎ “Atomenergoproject”, jointly with ÎÀÎ EDO “Gidropress”, RNC “Kurchatov Institute”, ÎÀÎ “Power Machines”.
Atomstroyexport has awarded gifts to young Indian artists
The distribution of prizes to the winners of the international children's drawings competition “Russian-Indian friendship at NPP “Kudankulam” has taken place in NPP “Kudankulam”`s construction camp named Anuvijay (Atom`s victory). JSC “Atomstroyexport” acted as the organizer of that competition under the auspices of the Indian partner – directorate of NPP “Kudankulam”`s construction of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL).
Atomstroyexport JSC has tested the Bushehr NPP equipment of secondary coolant circuit under the pressure of 110 kg/sm²
JSC “Atomstroyexport” (JSC ASE) has successfully completed the hydraulic testing of the Bushehr NPP secondary coolant circuit equipment (the Islamic Republic of Iran) under the pressure buildup to 110 kg/sm². The testing was carried out in compliance with a commissioning program within the plant.
Atomstroyexport JSC has concluded transaction on NUKEM Technologies GmbH procurement
On December 14th, 2009 signing the protocol on concluding the transaction took place in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) at 15.30, local time, under the sales contract between Atomstroyexport JSC (ASE JSC) and NUKEM GmbH. According to the protocol, 100 % of the shares of NUKEM Technologies GmbH, affiliated company of German uranium trader NUKEM GmbH, passed to the property of Atomstroyexport JSC. From Atomstroyexport JSC, Alexander Gluhov, First Vice-president of the company, signed the protocol of concluding the transaction. Tianwan NPP constructed by Atomstroyexport JSC in China has overfulfilled the annual operation plan
On December 12, 2009 Tianwan NPP (China) fulfilled the annual electric power generation plan. In total from the beginning of the year the units 1 and 2 of the nuclear power plant constructed by Atomstroyexport JSC has generated 13.2 billion kWh of electric power.
SIEMENS AG has handed over to Atomstroyexport JSC the technical-commercial offers on the construction of power output facilities of Belene NPP
The handing over by the SIEMENS AG company to Atomstroyexport JSC (ASE JSC), the General Contractor of the construction of Belene NPP, of the technical-commercial offers for the construction of the power output facilities of the Bulgarian NPP took place in Sofia (Bulgaria) on December 8, 2009.

Atomstroyexport JSC (ASE JSC) acted as a partner of the nuclear industry suppliers’ forum "ATOMEX-2009", held on December, 7-8th in the World Trade Centre, Moscow. Participants of the forum have discussed the pressing questions of nuclear engineering development: new branch rules for organization of tenders and procurement, increase of efficiency of use of investment means for procurement organization, engineering and management of NPP construction projects, questions of standardization, use of information technologies in nuclear industry. At the forum Atomstroyexport JSC was represented by Timur Bavlakov, Vice-president of the company.

Management of the Russian and the Iranian energy industry has visited NPP “Bushehr”
On November, 30 the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shmatko, jointly with the Vice-President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Director of Nuclear Power Company of Iran, Ali Akbar Salehi, as well as with the President of JSC “Atomstroyexport”(JSC ASE), Dan Belenkiy visited the construction site of NPP “Bushehr” in Iran. The governmental representatives of Russia and Iran studied the construction progress of the first Iranian nuclear power plant.

Atomstroyexport JSC (ASE JSC) has successfully completed the next key stage of hydraulic testing of primary circuit equipment of Bushehr NPP (the Islamic Republic of Iran) with pressure buildup to 180 kg/cm2. The 180-kg/cm2 pressure is the NPP working pressure.

President of JSC «Atomstroyexport» (JSC ASE), Dan Belenkiy, has visited “Bushehr” NPP with a working visit (Islamic Republic of Iran), where the completion phase of commissioning is being carried out. At present time hydraulic tests of the NPP primary circuit equipment is the key action on the completion phase of the nuclear power plant construction. Their main goal is testing of the primary circuit equipment.

In Mumbai (India) the 1st International Exhibition and Forum “INDIA NUCLEAR ENERGY 2009” took place. They were organized under support of the Ministry of Energy and the Department of Atomic Energy, Republic of India. The Exhibition and Forum drew major attention of the companies-suppliers of equipment and services in the Indian nuclear power market. More than 50 companies from India, Russia and other countries of the world were represented at the exposition “INDIA NUCLEAR ENERGY 2009”. Atomstroyexport Joint-Stock Company (ASE JSC), which is constructing Kudankulam NPP in Tamil Nadu State (India), participated in the Exhibition as a part of the common exposition of Rosatom State Corporation.

In Moscow within the frame of the Intergovernmental Committee on economic and scientific-technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Slovakia Republic the 2d session of the Russian-Slovak working group on atomic energy (WGAE) was held. In Hanoi (Socialist Republic of Vietnam) the 3rd Vietnam Hanoi Energy Forum and Expo VE Expo took place, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Energy Commission of the Republic. The exhibition was opened by the Chairman of the Vietnam Energy Association MR. T.V.Ngai. During the opening ceremony “Atomstroyexport” received the award for the activities aimed at the development of the energy industry of Vietnam.
“Atomstroyexport” JSC became an official member of the Czech Nuclear Forum
On the 10th of November 2009 an agreement on joining of “Atomstroyexport” JSC to the Czech Nuclear Forum was signed. In Prague (Czech Republic) within the frames of the meeting of this organization the Russian nuclear technologies were presented under participation of assessors of “Atomstroyexport” JSC (ASE JSC), OKB “GIDROPRESS”, OJSC “TVEL”, RRC “Kurchatov Institute”, VNIIAES and OJSC “Atomenergoproject” (Saint-Petersburg). The reports, which were presented by Russian experts, included detailed information on the current conditions and development prospects of ASE projects with VVER reactors under consideration of demands and trends of the world market.
International Symposium on Nuclear Energy in Jordan
In Amman (Jordan) at the Al-Balqa Applied University the Second International Symposium on Nuclear Energy ISNE-2009 was held. One of the principal goals of the symposium is to contribute to the development of the nuclear energy in Jordan and the Arab region in general. “Atomstroyexport” JSC sponsored the symposium. In the symposium took part representatives of region’s countries – Egypt, Syria, Iran, Algeria, Morocco, as well as of the leading countries with developed nuclear energy: Russia, France, South Korea.

The 2-nd Annual Russian Industrial Exhibition “Expo-Russia Armenia 2009” was held in Erevan City (Armenia) from the 29-th to the 31-rst of October, 2009. The exhibition is a potential platform for developing and strengthening the economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between the two countries. More than 50 Russian companies representing different spheres of activity took part in “Expo-Russia Armenia 2009”. “Atomstroyexport” fulfills its obligations under “Belene” NPP construction project
“Atomstroyexport” JSC (ASE JSC) is going on to fulfill its contractual obligations under “Belene” NPP construction project. The project is being implemented according to the agreed schedule and within the approved scope. The amendments of the project financial structure have not led at the present moment to revision of its contractual obligations by the company.
Atomstroyexport is preparing for Tianwan NPP capacity increase
The State Corporation Rosatom and the Chinese Nuclear Industry Corporation (CNIC) signed the Protocol by which they confirmed their wish and intention to continue cooperation in construction of the second phase of Tianwan NPP, i.e. Units 3&4. With this purpose the sides have agreed to set up a joint task force, which should agree upon the cost of Tianwan NPP expansion. It is planned, that Atomstroyexport Joint-Stock Company will implement the project.
Atomstroyexport signed the contract for construction of Yuzhnouralsk GRES-2 (state district power station)
On October 16, 2009 Atomstroyexport Joint-Stock Company (ASE JSC) and Joint-Stock Company “Third Generating Company of Electric Power Wholesale Market” (OGK-3 JSC) signed the contract based on the EPC model for construction of Yuzhnouralsk GRES-2 power complex. The contract was signed by Vladimir Vasilievich Kolmogorov, the Director General of OGK-3 JSC, and Alexander Anatolievich Gluhov, the First Vice-president of Atomstroyexport Joint-Stock Company.

In Beijing in the course of the visit to PRC of the Prime –Minister of the Russian Federation Mr.Vladimir Putin there was signed a contract on carrying out of preproject works on construction in China of two units of the nuclear power plant with fast neutron reactor plants (BN-800). The contract was concluded between “Atomstroyexport” JSC (ASE JSC) and China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) jointly with China Nuclear Energy Industry Company (CNEIC).

On the 9th of October in the town Ostrovets (Belorussia) there were held the public consultations on the evaluation of the environmental impact of the Belorussian nuclear power plant planned for construction. All interested persons, in particular, Grodno Region population, representatives of the public, ecological organizations and mass media became the participants of the public discussions. For the attention of the public there was presented the complete information on the Belorussian NPP construction project, evaluation results of the NPP construction and operation activities impact on the environment and agro-ecosystems in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

In Sofia (Bulgaria) the pupils of the municipal secondary school ¹ 133 named after Pushkin A.S were presented with textbooks in the Russian language. The Secondary school ¹ 133 which specializes in learning of the Russian language from the 1st form is the only one in Sofia and one of the largest schools in Bulgaria the number of pupils of which is 1300. During the solemn event JSC “Atomstroyexport” was represented by the Vice-President of the Company, Head of Division for NPP construction in Bulgaria Gennadiy Tepkyan.

Atomstroyexport JSC congratulated the town of Belene on the 45th anniversary
On the 5th - 6th of September Atomstroyexport JSC (ASE JSC) took part in the solemn events in Bulgaria dedicated to celebration of the 45th anniversary of the town of Belene near which the Russian company is implementing construction of the nuclear power plant. Atomstroyexport JSC signed the agreement for preparation of the justification of investment in construction of the first Belarusian NPP
The agreement for elaboration of the justification of investment (JI) in NPP construction in the Republic of Belarus has been signed in Minsk between Atomstroyexport JSC (ASE JSC) and Design Scientific Research Republican Unitary Enterprise Belnipienergoprom (RUE Belnipienergoprom). The document was prepared within the framework of implementation of the Plan of joint work of the Russian and Belarusian Parties on realization of the top-priority measures for the project of NPP construction in the Republic of Belarus for the year 2009. Thus, one more step has been taken in the course of preparation for construction of the first Belarusian NPP.
Legal and contract base for construction of Khmelnitskaya NPP Units 3 & 4 is under preparation
Russian – Ukrainian negotiations on the issues related to the project of construction of Khmelnitskaya NPP Units 3 and 4 (Ukraine) took place in Moscow on the 28th of August. The Russian Party was headed by Mr. Alexander Glukhov, First Vice-President of Atomstroyexport JSC, the Ukrainian Party – by Mr. Vladimir Bronnikov, Director General of Atomprojectengineering, a separate division of the state enterprise National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom.
The works on development of the legal and contractual base for the first Belarusian nuclear power project are carrying on
In Minsk at the initiative of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Belarus the conference between the representatives of Russia and Belorussia concerned with the matter of the Belarusian nuclear power project was held. The Russian delegation was headed by Alexander Lokshin, Deputy General Director on nuclear park of State Corporation “ Rosatom”. JSC “Atomstroyexport” was represented by Alexander Glukhov, First Vice-President of the Company. The representatives of the General Designer of the project, JSC “SPb Atomenergoproject”, JSC “Atomenergomash” and LLC “ALSTOM Atomenergomash” also were the members of the Russian delegation.
JSC “Atomstroyexport” has won the tender for project “South Ural GRES-2”
On the 7-th of August, 2009 JSC “Atomstroyexport” (JSC ASE), and JSC “The Third Generating Company of the Electric Power Wholesale Market” (JSC “OGK-3”) signed the protocol where the triumph of JSC ASE in the tender for construction of energy complex “South Ural GRES-2” has been fixed. According to the engineering solution the object is a condensation combined cycle power plant (CCP-CNPP; PGU-KES) from three power units with the total power of 1200 MW. The commissioning of the first unit is planned for 2012, of the second and the third ones, upon the confirmation by the Customer of the requirement for their erection, - before 2014.
At the meeting of Prime Ministers of Russia and Turkey the documents determining further cooperation between two countries in the sphere of nuclear-power engineering have been signed
On the 6-th of August, 2009 in Ankara (Turkey) in the framework of the visit of Prime Minister of Russia, Vladimir Putin, the documents determining the partnership in the sphere of nuclear energy technologies between the governments of two countries have been signed: Agreement on cooperation in the field of peaceful use of atomic energy, Agreement on on-line notification of the nuclear accident and the exchange of information concerning nuclear facilities.

On June 18 a Joint Russian-Vietnam Coordination Committee on cooperation in the field of nuclear power engineering was held in Hanoi.
Integrated management system of “Atomstroyexport” JSC was certified
In “Atomstroyexport” JSC (ASE JSC) there was successfully completed the certification audit of the integrated management system for the compliance with international standards of management of quality (ISO 9001:2008), environment protection (ISO 14001:2004) and occupational health and safety (OHSAS 18001:2007).
The stage of start-up and adjustment works at “Bushehr” NPP is in progress
At “Bushehr” NPP Site the loading of the simulated fuel assemblies (SFA) in the reactor have been completed, the protecting tube system has been installed, process systems of the primary circuit have been prepared for hydraulic tests, the works for the reactor sealing have been commenced.

The branch of Atomstroyexport JSC located in Belene (Bulgaria) has launched an initiative both in site improvement around NPP “Belene”, that is under construction, and in support of the landscape gardening of the city Belene itself and its suburbs. This initiative was arranged to “The week of tree-planting” carried out traditionally in spring in Bulgaria.

A press conference took place at the site of NPP Bushehr, constructed by Atomstroyexport JSC on a “turnkey” basis in Iran, on February 25, 2009. A wide front of the works on the starting complex equipment setup have been launched at Kudankulam NPP being under construction on Russian technologies in India. It became possible owing to putting into operation of a switch-cabinet 220 KW and two startup-standby transformers on December 2008 and provision of power supply of NPP site.
Open reactor flushing of the active and passive safety systems started at Bushehr NPP
A regular stage of pre-commissioning works has started at Bushehr NPP (Islamic Republic of Iran). Experts of Atomstroyexport JSC are now performing open reactor flushing of the safety systems.
The third stage of the tender for NPP construction in Turkey
