ASE participated in the International conference
Nuclear energy against crisis
In City of Brno, Czechia, Atomstroyexport JSC (ASE JSC) took part in the International conference Nuclear energy against crisis.
The Head of Division for marketing and business-development of ASE JSC Mr. Leonid Yanko in the context of the conference spoke on the Russian-Czech collaboration in implementing of modern nuclear projects. The conference Nuclear energy against crisis was held during the International Engineering Fair MSV-2009 one of the biggest European fairs, which annually convokes in city of Brno leading engineers of the world.
Leonid Yanko noted that the Russian and Czech nuclear industry used to develop in close cooperation by implementation of huge number of scientific, technological, industry and other mutual initiatives. In 2009 30 years have passed since the Agreement on multilateral specialization and mutual equipment supply for NPP was signed.
Within this cooperation Czech manufacturers have been developing production of reactor facilities, steam turbines, steam generators, big-inch lines, reinforcement and other equipment for NPP with VVER type reactor. In its history the Czech industry supplied primary equipment for construction of 24 NPP units, inclusive three VVERs-1000. The nuclear power plants built in Czechia and other European countries on the base of Russian light water reactor technologies possess one of the best reliability and cost efficiency factors in Europe and world across.
Atomstroyexport is proud of long-term Russian and Czech cooperation Leonid Yanko said The infrastructure of the Czech engineering industry for the nuclear power industry, built up under participation of Russian engineers, demonstrated its stability, despite on political and economic changes. And today Atomstroyexport is interested in maximum use of high potential of Czech enterprises by implementation of contracts for NPP construction and upgrade.
During the conference Atomstroyexport presented a new project of Russian-Czech partnership the Modernized International Reactor (MIR). MIR is an evolutionary project of light water reactor of VVER type, improved in many parameters. Atomstroyexport proposes this design as a basis for construction of new units of the Temelin NPP. MIR is both a NPP design and a cooperation model. The technological design solutions provide the localization in Czechia of up to 70% of equipment supply, works and services. The system relationship development has ensured the fundamental base for Russian-Czech cooperation in XXI century.
About:
According to the Intergovernmental agreements, concluded between the USSR and the CzSSR, there have been constructed with the Russian design and operated the Dukovany NPP of 1760 MW (4 units VVER-440 of 213 design were set in operation during the period of 1985 1987) and Temelin NPP of 2000MW (2 units of VVER-1000 of 320 design were set in operation in 2000 and 2002). The Dukovany NPP was construed with Russian technical help. The Temelin NPP construction was held by Czech organizations, the Russian organizations performed the follow-on and supply of the several manufacturing equipment. Today the Atomstroyexport is rendering engineering and consulting services at the site of Temelin NPP according to three contracts for operation of three active units. Atomstroyexport in the alliance with Czech and European partners will participate in tender for construction of 3rd and 4th units of Temelin NPP. Now the preliminary attestation of the participants for the next tender is being carried out that is expected to be held this November.
Atomstroyexport JSC (ASE JSC) is a leading state engineering company that is subordinate to the State Corporation Rosatom implementing intergovernmental and commercial agreements on construction of nuclear power facilities abroad. At present Atomstroyexport JSC executes orders that make up about 20% of the world competitive market volume. Atomstroyexport is one of the biggest Russian high-tech suppliers for abroad. The company is supported by fifty-year experience of the Russian nuclear industry in its activities and constructs new generation NPPs that fully meet international requirements and IAEA recommendations.
