Slovakia (Czechoslovakia) – Mochovce NPP
The construction of two pairs of reactors for Mochovce NPP (four VVER-440/V-213 power generating units with) was carried out in a production line method under the Agreement of November 27, 1980 between USSR and Czechoslovakia. Units 1-2 were commissioned in October, 1998 and March, 2000 respectively.
The construction of two further units (Units 3-4) has been suspended mainly due to financial shortage, state sufficiency in power generation owing to units upgrading at Bohunice NPP as well as commissioning of the first two Mochovce units.
By the moment of suspension the works have been 70% completed and readiness of units process systems made up nearly 30% (including equipment supply and erection works).
