The Intergovernmental Agreement on construction of additional 4 Units at Kudankulam nuclear power plant and on cooperation at other sites was signed on the 5th of December 2008 during the official visit of President of Russia, Mr. Dmitry Medvedev, to India. The Intergovernmental Agreement was signed in New Delhi by Mr. Sergey Kirienko, Head of the State Corporation Rosatom, and by Mr. Anil Kakodkar, Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India.
